As a bassist Sigurd Hole represents an innovative approach to his instrument strongly influenced by Norwegian folk music and
nature. In 2018 he released his first two albums
as a leader. The follow up solo album "Lys / Mørke" came in 2020. 2022 sees the release of "Roraima" - an ensemble work for 7 players and field recordings from the Amazon rainforest.
